The Delaware Innovation Space awards FastPass helping Lignolix spin out of the university lab

December 17, 2019

Lignolix has won the FastPass competition and will soon move to a dedicated lab space at the Delaware Innovation Space. With access to a science incubator, state-of-the-art laboratories, business development resources, and a network of people with top-tier expertise, Lignolix will be able to take the University of Delaware team and truly spin out of the university.

The Delaware Innovation Space emerged recently from a partnership with DuPont, the University of Delaware and the State of Delaware. In an effort to occupy the newly renovated lab and office space in DuPont’s Experimental Station, the Delaware Innovation Space launched the FastPass competition which provides an equity-free package of operational, technical, business development and financial support valued at $50,000.

Located in Wilmington, Delaware on the world-renowned Experimental Station campus, Delaware Innovation Space is a non-profit with 100,000 square feet of multi-use lab space for industrial biotech, advanced materials, chemical ingredients, renewable energy, nutrition, and healthcare science-based businesses and ventures. It houses all-inclusive, private lab suites, shared open space, premium lab equipment, hands-on support services, shared use conference rooms, networking events, education, training, mentoring, and more.
